Seit 2021 misst 21Shares seine CO₂-Emissionen für alle kommerziellen Aktivitäten, Reisen, Büro­nutzung, On-Chain-Krypto­transaktionen und vorgelagerte Komponenten. Basierend auf unserem CO₂-Fußabdruck finanzieren wir Klimaschutzprojekte, um Verantwortung für unsere Produkte und Geschäfts­tätigkeiten zu übernehmen.

Unsere Beiträge unterstützen Klimaschutzprojekte, die saubere Energie­erzeugung und Wieder­aufforstungs­maßnahmen umfassen – alles mit dem Ziel, unseren Planeten für zukünftige Generationen zu schützen.

Wir bewerten die CO₂-Emissionen, die aus unseren Geschäfts­tätigkeiten entstehen. Sobald wir ausreichend Daten gesammelt haben, setzen wir uns gemeinsam mit unserem Partner myclimate das Ziel, wirksame Maßnahmen zur Reduzierung unseres CO₂-Fußabdrucks zu identifizieren und umzusetzen.

Wir überwachen kontinuierlich unseren CO₂-Fußabdruck, berichten über unsere Fortschritte und investieren in hochwertige Klimaschutzprojekte auf Basis unserer unvermeidbaren Emissionen. Bei der Entwicklung neuer Produkte berücksichtigen wir diese in unseren Berechnungen, um alle Aspekte unseres CO₂-Fußabdrucks vollständig abzudecken.

Wir analysieren die gesamte Transaktionshistorie des Unternehmens, um die CO₂-Emissionen unserer Produkte zu berechnen. Diese Erfassung umfasst alle Transaktionsarten. Sobald wir unseren CO₂-Fußabdruck bestimmt haben, investieren wir in hochwertige Klimaschutzprojekte, um Verantwortung für unsere ermittelten Emissionen zu übernehmen.Unser akkreditierter Partner myclimate validiert unsere Daten und unterstützt uns bei der Finanzierung von Klimaschutzprojekten, die zudem den Standards der United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) entsprechen. Basierend auf unseren Transaktionsemissionen leisten wir jedes Jahr weiterhin Beiträge zu ausgewählten Projekten.

Methoden

Wir haben eine fundierte Strategie entwickelt, um unseren CO₂-Fußabdruck zu messen.

Wir bewerten kontinuierlich die Umweltwirkungen unserer Produkte und Geschäftsabläufe. Unseren CO₂-Fußabdruck berechnen wir anhand der Methode, die in Abschnitt 2.2 unseres Methodologiepapiers beschrieben ist. Auf Grundlage dieser Daten investieren wir in hochwertige Klimaschutzprojekte, um Verantwortung für unsere unvermeidbaren Emissionen zu übernehmen.

Basierend auf unserem CO₂-Fußabdruck finanzieren wir Klimaschutzprojekte, um Verantwortung für unsere Produkte und Geschäftsaktivitäten zu übernehmen. Unsere Beiträge unterstützen globale Klimaschutzprojekte in den Bereichen saubere Energieerzeugung, Wiederaufforstung und Zugang zu sauberem Wasser. Diese Projekte sind darauf ausgelegt, unseren Planeten für zukünftige Generationen zu schützen und entsprechen den Zielen für nachhaltige Entwicklung der Vereinten Nationen (UN SDG).
