Homeownership in the US is becoming an ever-distant dream for many, with stubborn inflation pushing prices higher. In just five years, median prices of new homes – newly built properties that have never been occupied, including single-family houses, townhomes, or condos – have climbed 26%, highlighting how the purchasing power of the dollar is steadily eroding.
Bitcoin, however, tells a very different story. In 2020, buying the same home would have cost 35 BTC. Today, it would take just 3.8 BTC, showing how Bitcoin’s value has appreciated dramatically against the dollar, reinforcing its role as a potential store of value and hedge against inflation.
